90 minutes 'Long'
It wasn't literally 90 minutes for Noa today, but we certainly enjoyed watching Noa. What drive, what self-belief, and above all, tremendous bravado.
The afternoon didn't start as expected; we began the match with a poor attitude. After fifteen minutes, it was 2-0, something you wouldn't anticipate beforehand. However, given the flow of play, there was nothing to complain about.
After finally seeing a good attack, it immediately resulted in a goal. The 2-1, Noa's first, marked the turning point in the match. Until halftime, there were a few chances. But it could just as easily have been 3-1 for the Tukkers.
The second half began as the first should have. With good play and a quick goal, again by Noa, his second, leveling the score. Not much later, it was a goal again. This time with a shot so powerful that the referee had to check the net after the goal. 2-3, resistance broken, and time for more.
To take the last bit of tension out of the match, the Tukkers' defense lent a hand. After a mistake at the back, Noa could easily tap in the 2-4, the match was over, and it was also time to give the exhausted Noa a well-deserved substitution.
That the final act came in injury time showed that our 'old' warrior Klaas-Jan is as eager as ever. With a goal late in injury time, the deserved final score appeared on the board, 2-5, and an entertaining afternoon further.
On to Friday, home again, this time Willem II!
